Pedio is a plant-derived lactic acid bacteria fermented beverage created from strong lactic acid bacterium (Pediococcus acidilactici AS19) that has lived long in the miso brewery of Aogen, which has a history of 400 years.　

The only ingredients used are rice and malted rice.
Although it is sugar-free, it has a mild sweetness.  It is a traditional, yet an innovative beverage.
